Afrobeat king Davido made a courtesy call on Nigeria’s federal minister of interior.
Afrobeat musician Davido, who is nominated for a Grammy, and his group paid Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the minister of interior, a courtesy call recently in Abuja. Tunji-Ojo shared pictures from the visit on social media, expressing his happiness at having the gifted musician stay with him. The Minister lauded Davido for serving as a global ambassador for Nigerian music, highlighting the country’s artistic brilliance and cultural diversity through his contributions.
The interior minister posted on social media, saying, “Yesterday, I had the pleasure of welcoming renowned afrobeat performer David Adeleke, also known as @davido. We are proud of Davido because he has continued to represent Nigeria’s talent and cultural diversity on the international scene through his songs.

The musical sensation Davido released the music video for his hit track Away in which he featured Real Madrid players. The video showcased appearances from football players including Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, and Toni Rudiger.
The king of Afrobeat also announced the completion of his fifth studio album. He revealed this during Kai Cenat’s live stream. During their live meetup, Davido revealed that his new album is finished. He also revealed that it consists of 15 songs and has six artist features.
