During a recent guest appearance on Premier League, the well-known singer discussed his vast 25-year career in the music industry, the process of creating Ojapiano, and his love of football. The Premier League hosts showed off the music video for Ojapiano during the broadcast, and they seemed to really like the song’s atmosphere.

He revealed that he played for local teams in Nigeria. At that time he played football and did music on the side. He said, “I played for PUMA, Julius Berger back home like a local team. When I was playing soccer I was doing music by the side. So I was hoping to get out there. Music came in first and I won a talent hunt and they gave me about four million naira. So I had to stop football a little bit and focus on music and that’s how I left football”.
